Dancing: An Expression of Pure Joy

Dancing: An Expression of Pure Joy

A Source of Refreshment for Body, Mind, and Soul

Dancing is the oldest form of human expression. While everyone can dance, few take the opportunity to do so. Dancing is about feeling, self-confidence, and, not least, health. It involves full-body movement, strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular system. Additionally, coordinated movements create new synapses in the brain, improving overall thinking ability. Studies have shown that dancing can reduce the risk of dementia by up to 76% and positively impacts cognitive performance in both children and adults. Research with chronically ill individuals has shown significant improvements in their conditions through regular guided dancing.

Refresh the Soul

Ingeborg Stecher, a certified dance instructor, has been guiding enthusiastic individuals for many years, helping them discover a new zest for life through dance, step by step. “Dancing after the middle years is a social activity for anyone who wants to stay fit in body, mind, and spirit. Joy, movement, and social connection are the central elements,” says Ingeborg Stecher. Dance promotes concentration, reaction time, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Moving to music positively affects the heart, circulation, metabolism, and autonomic nervous system. Dance also trains memory, offers a sense of achievement, and broadens one’s perspective on the world.
