Lunar Eclipse

The Blood Moon Shines on Friday

On Friday, July 27, the Moon will enter the Earth’s umbra. The summer full moon will turn fiery red during the longest total lunar eclipse of this century – from 9:30 PM to 11:15 PM. It will appear particularly impressive in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as a reddish disk in the night sky. The eclipse is also visible in the rest of Europe, where the moon rises already partially darkened, but the main phase of the “Mofi” will be fully visible.

Total Lunar Eclipse
During a total lunar eclipse, the full moon spends some time in the Earth’s umbra and is commonly referred to as a “blood moon.” On this special day, the planet Mars will be in opposition to the Sun and shine brightly in the evening sky. Mars will accompany the Moon on its path in the evening and night sky. With a duration of 1 hour and 43 minutes, this total lunar eclipse is the longest of the 21st century. A total lunar eclipse of this strength and duration will not occur again until 2123, and it will last for 106 minutes!

The Energy of the Full Moon
Especially sensitive individuals may feel certain hidden aspects coming to the surface around this event. A full moon often highlights deeper issues that one should continue to work through and what may prevent one from stepping into their full power. The energy of the full moon can offer supportive guidance. The subconscious may emerge more intensely on a full moon night, potentially manifesting as restlessness and vivid dreams for some.
