Breathing as a Bridge to Consciousness

Breathing as a Bridge to Consciousness

The breath reflex is essential for survival, but it is also an effective tool for activating self-healing powers.
24 minutes. This is how long the current world record holder can hold their breath. The average person gives up after about one to two minutes. Breathing is a reflex that begins at birth and continues until death. It is one of the most important bodily functions and provides fuel for all other body functions. It also serves internal cleansing, as nearly 70 percent of toxin elimination occurs through breathing. Suboptimal breathing habits are the cause of many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart issues, or nervousness, which plague modern society. This is where breath therapy comes in.

Stress, Be Gone

Breathing forms the bridge between the conscious and the subconscious or unconscious, allowing access to areas that are usually closed to everyday awareness. By consciously breathing faster, resistance can be overcome, stress and emotions released from the body, and inner experiences expanded. Through intensified, accelerated breathing techniques, evocative music, and process-oriented bodywork, altered states of consciousness and healing and spiritual processes can be initiated. In the process, constricting life patterns can be dissolved, deeper emotional layers worked through more intensely, and dormant potentials activated. During the breathing session, thought processes become more vivid and holistic, emotions flow more freely, and physical sensations are more immediate, triggering corresponding thoughts and images more quickly. Participants enter an altered state of consciousness, which has an extraordinarily positive impact on human development. Through these transformational processes, spontaneous healing is possible.

Simple Technique

The technique is simple and achievable for everyone. The breathing rhythm is provided by the trainer and maintained for a period of time. Through the tension arc of the music, the rhythm becomes self-sustaining without further effort. The music supports and frames the experiences, which are processed differently by each individual. One person may breathe loudly, scream, or perform strong movements, while another goes deep inside and seems “far away” externally. The experiences affect each person differently. The worst thing that can happen is that you meet yourself.
